As a dispatcher, you will be at the core of Dawson Delivery while also representing Amazon and it's values to our customers. Dispatchers are key members of our company and we recognize this. We depend on them highly to assure packages are delivered fast, safe, and on time.
Job Description and Duties
As a delivery associate, you will be delivering to residents and businesses around the Santa Clarita/Los Angeles area for one of the world's most iconic brands. Each morning, we provide all the tools you’ll need for the day: a van, a device to log your packages, a dispatcher to assist you as necessary, and the packages themselves!
SAFETY, ATTENDANCE and HIGH PERFORMANCE are key!
- Load and sort packages efficiently and effectively.
- Lift packages up to 50 lbs.
- Use handheld device for routing information and customer delivery.
- Navigate through the use of GPS.
- Safely operate a company cargo van to deliver between 150 and 250 packages daily.
- Ability to enter and exit your vehicle multiple times throughout your shift.
- Ability to walk up and down stairs throughout your shift.
- Ability to be on your feet walking and standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to SMILE, be pleasant, and treat all customers with the utmost respect.
- Able to work in inclement weather conditions such as rain, snow, and cold.
- Able to succeed in hitting and exceeding scorecard goals with minimal supervision.

As a dispatcher, you will be at the core of Dawson Delivery while also representing Amazon and it's values to our customers. It will be your job to consistently exceed customer expectations by making sure all orders are delivered on time, safely, and to the right location.
SAFETY, ATTENDANCE and HIGH PERFORMANCE are key!
- Organize and develop delivery routes in collaboration with delivery drivers.
- Maintain contact with delivery drivers throughout the day.
- Be a resource for the drivers.
- Track vehicles and packages as needed.
- Modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of customers.
- Answer incoming calls and directing them appropriately.
- Receive and transmit messages.
- Data entry in Microsoft Excel.
- Be a TEAM player-Be prepared to perform driver duties should the need arise.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have a valid CA driver's license, no CDL required.
- Must have a clean driving record for past 2 years.
- Previous transportation experience strongly preferred.
- MUST be reliable, and able to work a flexible schedule (some Saturdays and Sundays required).
Schedule
- Full-time: 4 to 5 days a week 8 to 10 hours per day, including weekends
- Part-time: 2 to 3 days a week, 8 to 10 hours per day, including weekends

Salary: $15.00/hour
